Knee Replacement — Part 5
11.6.2023
KNEE REPORT
Two weeks tomorrow I had a total knee replacement on my left leg. After six visits my in-home physical therapy ended today. The goal is 90 degree bend by two weeks. Mine was 106 this morning. Even though I am seemingly doing really well, IT STILL HURTS. PT said, of course it hurts. The fluid is pooling in your leg and the way you get rid of that is to WALK A BUNCH!
Indeed, last week I contacted the doctor’s nurse and requested a temporary handicap parking pass, and she declined. The doc wants me to park on the back side of every parking lot and WALK THROUGH THE STORE, NOT USING THE MOTORIZED CARTS. He must be kidding, right? Dang again. However I do feel better and have less pain if I walk a bunch.
Hugs and thanks to all of you who have supported me on this journey. The ultimate goal is to hike to the Hike Inn with my grandson. Maybe next spring.
