“That Guy’s” Economic Policies
That Guy’s Economic Policies When He Was President
That guy seems to think that if he says something enough times, it will be true. He said that about the 2020 election being stolen. He said that about building a wall and having Mexico pay for it. He has said that the immigrants are committing crimes more than the population, and when you actually look at the numbers, he is wrong about that, too. I will discuss immigration in another post.
Today I want to share about my recent research into his economic policies. Did, in fact, our economy get better because of that guy’s policies. Today’s post is about soybeans and The Farm policy.
“That guy” started the United States/China trade war in 2018. He did this using the U.S. farmers. Please check out the link below for more explanation.

The bottom line is that “that guy” threw the farmers under the bus. He gave farmers some subsidies to placate them while disrupting the soybean trade agreements previously held. He said that he was going to make the Chinese “pay” taxes on our soybeans because they had been taking advantage of us. He likely thought that the taxes paid on these soybeans would pay for cutting taxes to large corporations and wealthy.
